Since you are here, you are likely to also be a passionate knitter like me, Marianne.
I started to knit when I was around 10 years old, and have never looked back. My mum was only able to teach me the long tail cast on and the knit stitch. After that I was on my own. One day I saw a Swedish baby knits collection in a shop window, and went home to beg for money to buy it. After that I had to beg for money for yarn and needles! – I knit most of the patterns in that magazine. I shut myself into my room for hours to learn all the tricks of the trade.
After that, the knitting went on for decades, until the Internet came to me with all the wonderful knitting groups. I joined one after another, and discovered I’m not weird, but that there are thousands of knitterly people like me. I’m now a member of tens of groups in three languages, and enjoying my new life as a knitter.
