Olympic interim results

Filed under: Knitting,Olympics — knitter at 7:14 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2010

I showed you the progress up until day 7, and then day 16. This is what I did in between:

Day 8

Day 8

From 332 g to 370 grams.

Day 9

Day 9

419 grams total.

Days 10 and 11

Day 11

Day 10: 36 g, day 11: 45 grams, a total of 500g knitted.

Days 12 and 13

Days 12 and 13

Day 12: 42 g, day 13: 37 g, totals 579 grams.

Day 16

Day 16

Total knitted amount: 715 grams.

After this, I had to switch over to baby knitting, as my 5th grandchild is about to arrive. I will soon knit the remaining borders and sew the seams. I can soon use this jacket; we have around 5 degrees C and still 25 cms of snow.

Final day

This is where I am on the final day. I will come back to the interim stages after changing to a new hard disk on my computer.

Day 17

Day17 when the closing ceremony begins

It’s 3:30 am in Finland, and the closing ceremony is beginning. I’m going to bed now and will be doing the finishing later.

The good part of this project is that I knitted the jacket I really wanted to knit. The downside of making it the Olympics project is that all my favorite sports require close watching: figure skating, ice hockey, ski jumping and Nordic combined.
